Special Sunday Serenity Thanksgiving edition…Playing For Change

On Monday I will be posting a primer for folks on the very important global climate change conference, COP15, being held in Copenhagen from December 7-18.  But for now I have a special Sunday Serenity Thanksgiving holiday edition [our US holiday of giving thanks for our blessings].

Playing For Change is a very cool concept of filming musicians around the world and putting them together in one song.  I chose their “War/No More Trouble” compilation by Bob Marley.

They say about this song:  “As we made our way around the world we encountered love, hate, rich and poor, black and white, and many different religious groups and ideologies. It became very clear that as a human race we need to transcend from the darkness to the light and music is our weapon of the future. This song around the world features musicians who have seen and overcome conflict and hatred with love and perseverance. “We don’t need more trouble, what we need is love”. The spirit of Bob Marley always lives on.”

Figuring out our resources issues, especially freshwater, is ultimately figuring out how to avoid deadly conflicts…so crank up the volume, get that second cup of coffee going and feel it.

I highly recommend checking out their website and seeing the other songs and their work:
